Training and event venues
Whenever possible Dosti training sessions and events are held in community venues around Dudley Borough, often in Brierley Hill because it is reduces journey distance from around the Borough. When booking venues our primary considerations are value for money, proximity to bus routes and parking, and accessibility. We only book venues which are accessible and have accessible facilities.
Booking places
We publish clear purpose and training objectives for each of our courses. We use an advance booking system to help to ensure that our training will meet your needs. It also helps us to manage numbers. After receiving your booking we will send you venue location and directions.
Not available in the daytime?
We are happy to provide training and support for representatives in the evening. Please contact Dosti staff to ask about evening sessions.
What to expect at training sessions
At any of our training sessions and events please expect a warm welcome and suitable (free) refreshments (hot and cold drinks and biscuits/fruit). For whole day sessions we provide a free buffet lunch and can cater for any dietary requirements advised to us in advance.
We build in regular breaks in our training sessions and events, and the timing of these will be agreed with trainees at the start of each session. Drinks are available throughout each session, including during breaks.
Our training style is relaxed and friendly, we encourage you take the opportunity to get to know other participants. Our courses are designed to bring out the best of your existing knowledge and experience. So whilst we will provide a little information or some ideas which may be new to you, we will also learn from you, and expect trainees to learn from each other. Expect to do a fair amount of talking and sharing!
Your feedback
We ask participants to feedback at the end of each session. We constantly make improvements to our training sessions and events thanks to constructive participant feedback.
