Ageing Well in Dudley
To lay the foundations for developing the new strategy for older people in Dudley, Age Concern Dudley and the Council are inviting organisations that work with older people and older people that use their services to a workshop to be held at:
The Savoy Centre, Northfield Road, Netherton, DY2 9ES
On: Thursday 4 February 2010, 10am - 2pm
A buffet lunch will be included
The aim of the day is to find out what the Council, Primary Care Trust and voluntary and independent sector need to provide to help people to age well in Dudley.
We will be asking people to participate in workshop groups where the views, needs and concerns of older people in Dudley can be discussed. These discussions will help to ensure that the new strategy for older people, ‘Ageing Well’ represents the demand for services in the borough.

The Joint Action Group (JAG) is a multi-agency group accountable to Dudley’s Crime Reduction Implementation Group. JAG meets regularly to develop joint medium to long term actions to address crime and disorder issues, informed by crime data and other intelligence from members.
JAG receives intelligence and crime analysis reports, develops action plans against agreed priorities and commissions activity. JAG undertakes to monitor and evaluate activities and promote achievements.
JAG is seeking a representative who could contribute to the development of actions to address crime and disorder issues, reflecting the interests of local communities. The representative will be in a position to voluntarily contribute to monthly JAG meetings and to commit time to feedback through Dosti communications and representatives meetings. JAG is seeking a representative with knowledge of and contacts in local community groups and voluntary organisations
